Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Lean ground beef notes: 85/15 or 90/10 recommended
  • 1 packet Onion soup mix
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Whole milk notes: or dairy alternative
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup notes: for mixing, plus extra for glaze if desired

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, and 1/2 cup of ketchup.
  • Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping it evenly.
  • Optional: Spread an additional layer of ketchup over the top for a flavorful glaze.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, or dried herbs like thyme or parsley. Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side salad for a complete meal.
